pch.net is a domain owned by the not-for-profit research organization Packet Clearing House (PCH), founded in 1994. PCH primary objective is to provide efficient and high-quality Internet Exchange Points (IXP), as a service to the International Networking Community. They have designed and constructed more than a third of the world's total IXPs. In addition, they also provide anycast servers for more than 130 Top Level Domains (TLDs), and two of the root operators. Other services provided include support and system administration for organizations promoting neutral independent network interconnections. Bill Woodcock has been involved with PCH since the early nineties, and has served as their Research Director since 1997.
